The Owl and the Pussycat S14 Write a sequel for ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.    

Write your story about what happens to the Owl and the Pussycat after they have celebrated their wedding.  Use your story plan from yesterday to help you.

  • Your story will need a beginning, middle and ending – be guided by your story map.
  • Record your ideas in sentences with a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop, exclamation mark or question mark at the end.

Task 1

Read your writing and try to improve it by checking your spelling and sentence punctuation and adding some describing words or phrases to add interest for the reader.


Draw a picture to go with your story.


Task 2

Listen to read to Julia Donaldson’s sequel, ‘The Further Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat’ (story poem).
