Wanstead Church School offers a nursery that runs 15 hours of free early years’ education, with morning sessions running from 8.45 to 11.45 and afternoon from 12.15 to 3.15. From September 2017, the Nursery will only offer morning sessions.
We have three main starting dates at the beginning of each school term and we offer places to children the term after their 3rd birthday.
Some children start as soon as they are three which means they are well prepared for starting Reception in the year they turn 5 years old.
The nursery is staffed by fully qualified teachers, experienced nursery nurses and teaching assistants. The provision includes a safe and challenging outdoor play area, exciting learning zones covering all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and provides children the opportunity to learn about school life. We encourage children to learn through play and share their experiences together.
As part of Wanstead Church School, they have access to the main school resources such as the school hall, library and our ICT suite. The children also join with us at times throughout the year for special assemblies and school events.
The nursery is inclusive of families of any faith or no faith, and is open to everyone even if you are not planning to send your child to our school for their primary education.
