Pupils will practise ten spellings each week, followed by a spelling test. Please help your child to learn the spellings by regularly getting them to write each word from memory. They can write in their red spelling books. The "look, cover, write, check" process is a good way to learn new spellings. Children should practise writing the spellings throughout the week to retain them in their long-term memory. To challenge themselves, children can try putting each word into a sentence.

Tasks should be completed by the following Tuesday, when children will have to hand their workbook in.
