Worship Council
Worship Council at Wanstead Church School
14 “You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 And people don’t hide a light under a bowl. They put the light on a lampstand. Then the light shines for all the people in the house. 16 In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do. Live so that they will praise your Father in heaven.
(Matthew 5:14-16)
15 Jesus said to the followers, “Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone.
(Mark 16:15)
Worship Council is open to children of all ages and all faiths at Wanstead Church School.
Children apply by writing a letter to the Headteacher at any time during the school year.
The role of the Worship Council is to think and talk about the Christian distinctiveness of our school and how it can be further improved and developed.
This is what we do:
We demonstrate our values of Wisdom, Compassion and Strength
We believe that “We Can Shine!” and we help others to shine too.
We make suggestions for changes to improve our Church School.
We help to choose worship songs.
We have ideas for prayers.
We check our classrooms reflect our Christian ethos and values.
We learn more about the Church.
We want everyone to shine like Jesus taught us!
